First Fish

Here she is!

This is fish number two of the 2010 season, a female rock bass (red eye) full of eggs. The first fish jumped off the hook before I could snap a picture (and it was a tiny little feller too). Sorry for the blurry picture, I was too afraid to take my camera-phone out of the Ziploc bag while in the middle of the river. I will get better pictures of the monsters I catch throughout the season. I did pretty good today. I set out to catch my first fish of the new year and I ended up with about 30 red eye, one smallie, and a lamprey of all things. The water is still a little cold, good thing I had on chest waders. Actually today was a perfect day off, could not have asked for much more.

Another Picture through the ziploc bag lens.
And this a Lamprey if you were wondering what that is, first time I have ever caught one.
